Sublime Point RSL Day Care Club

There are now 70 day clubs in NSW and a large section of representatives at the conference were from country day clubs.

Mr Ted Richards O.A.M who recently retired after 23 years as state coordinator, was made the first patron of day clubs in NSW and was presented with a commemorative book made by contributions from day clubs to celebrate his 30years voluntary service.

Erica Greig O.A.M, day club consultant, was presented with an rsl certificate of appreciation for her work over a six year period. the theme of the conference was ‘change does not change tradition, it strengthens it’. the new logo was shown to all in attendance.

During October we have an outing to ublime Point and Helensburg with entertainers Peter Asquith, Southside Singers, Musical Sounds and Burraneer Bay school choir for us to enjoy in November.

We cease activities after our christmas luncheon on 5th December and resume on Friday 6th February 2009.

The volunteers annual General meeting will be held on Friday 30th January 2009 at 10am at our usual day club venue. happy christmas and new year to all. betty whittaker, co-ordinator
